Sorry gonna be kinda long, so first you have to isolate the variable which is p so you have to first get rid of the 5 so you would add 5 to then get rid of the -5 making it zero and to make it balanced you add 5 to 19 which would then be 24 so now you have 24>-4p so next step you have to do opposite operations and isolate the variable again so whats sticking the -4 and p is multiplication so you would divide -4p by -4 and that would give you just p so once again you have to make the equation balanced so you divide 24 by -4 to get -6 so then your whole answer would be -6>p

19 > -4p -5
+5. +5
24 > -4p
÷4. ÷4
-6 > p

The height of dachshuds is usually 1/3 their length. If Molly is 20 inches long how tall is she?
Llana [10]
The question is asking for 1/3 of Molly’s length, which is 20 inches. The word of in this context indicates multiplication, which means you should multiply 20 by 1/3.
1/3 x 20 = 6.666666 (repeating) or 6.7 (rounded)
Therefore, Molly is 6.7 inches tall.

The probability that a single radar set will detect an enemy plane is 0.9. if we have five radar sets, what is the probability t
Readme [11.4K]

The probability that a single radar set will detect an enemy plane is 0.9. if we have five radar sets, what is the probability that exactly four sets will detect the plane?

Solution: The given random experiment follows binomial distribution with p=0.9,n=5

Let x be the number of radar sets that will detect the plane.

We have to find P(x=4)

P(x=4)=\binom{5}{4}0.9^{4}(1-0.9)^{5-4}

               =5\times 0.6561 \times 0.1

               =0.3281

Therefore, the probability that exactly four sets will detect the plane is 0.3281

If you rent a car for one day and drive it for 100 miles, the cost is $40.00. If you drive it 220 miles, the cost is $46.00. Use
Gelneren [198K]
The function f(x) = (6/120) x + 40
= 0.05x + 40 where x is the excess mileage over 100

If we drive it for 300 miles x will be 300-100 = 200

so cost will be 0.05*200 + 40
= 10+40 = $50 answer
