On the following composite figure, all angles are right angles. All short edges of the figure have a measure of 1.5 centimeters.

All long edges have a measure of 3 centimeters. Decompose the figure into parallelograms or triangles only. Explain or show how you decomposed the shape.

The length of the window is 2m longer than its width and the area is 32m^
eimsori [14]

Answer:

X¹= -2 + 2√33

X²= -2 - 2√33

Step-by-step explanation:

X × (X+2) = 32

X² + 2X = 32

X² + 2X - 32= 0

Δ=132

X= -2 ± 2√33

X¹= -2 + 2√33

X²= -2 - 2√33

(You can change the 2√33 to 11,5 if you want to)

Find the exact value of s in the given interval that has the given circular function value.
docker41 [41]

Answer:

\displaystyle s=\frac{3\pi}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Trigonometric Values</u>

We need to find the angle s in the interval [π/2,π] where:

\displaystyle \sin s=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

There are two possible angles that have the same sine value in the first rotation of s. Any angle on the first quadrant has the same sine as its supplementary angle in the second quadrant.

The first angle s whose sine is \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2} is:

\displaystyle s=\frac{\pi }{4}

The other angle is its supplementary angle:

\displaystyle s=\pi-\frac{\pi }{4}=\frac{3\pi}{4}

Only this last angle lies on the required interval, thus:

\boxed{\displaystyle s=\frac{3\pi}{4}}

What is the slant height of a square pyramid with the height of 10cm and base edge 20cm
Klio2033 [76]
Hello!

To find the base length you use the Pythagorean Theorem

a^{2} + b^{2} = c^{2}

c is the slant height
a is half the base length
b is the height

Put in the values you know

10^{2} + 10^{2} = c^{2}

Square the numbers

100 + 100 =  c^{2}

Add

200 =  c^{2}

Take the square root of both sides

c =  \sqrt{200}

Simplify

c = 10 \sqrt{2}

Hope this helps!

Igoryamba
First find the volume of the box:
V=2*2.2*2.5=11 cm^3

Then find the desity given by grams divided by volume:
density=25.6 g/ 11 cm^3 = 2.327 g/cm^3

Round to the nearest tenth, so 2.3 g/cm^3.

I hope that helped.

loris [4]

Answer:

1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

2/5 + 3/5

(2+ 3)/5

2/5 + (2 + 3)/5 =  (4 + 3)/5

(4+ 3)/5 = 7/5

4+ 3 = 7

4 = 4

c = 1/5
