Answer:

Total current value is $18,982,680

Explanation:

Given data:

Price of lottery is $62 million

discount rate is 14%

received amount in 20 year is $2.8 million

lump sum payment after 20 year is $6 million

PVAF value for 20 year and 14 % is 6.6231  [ from PVAF table ]

present value of $2.8 million for 20 year = 2800000 * 6.6231 = $18,544,680

Present value of $6 million at end of 20 year is = 6 000000 * PVF (20 year , 14%)

from table PVF value for 20 year and 14% is 0.073

present value = 6000000 * 0.073 = 438000

total current value  = 18,544,680 + 438000 = $18,982,680

They want to make a profit of $55,498 Unit Variable costs = $11 Unit selling price is = $37 Fixed costs = $18,470 How many units
belka [17]

Answer:

2,845 units

Explanation:

To find the answer you need to consider that the profit is equal to the sales minus the costs.

Let's consider that x is the number of units sold

Sales= Price per unit*number of units sold

Sales= 37x

Variable cost= Cost per unit*number of units sold

Variable cost= 11x

Fixed cost= 18,470

55,498=37x-11x-18,470

55,498+18,470=26x

73,968=26x

x=73,968/26= 2,845

According to this, the answer is that they need to sell 2,845 units to make the desired profit.

The market for laundry detergents in a country has several players, each with a slightly differentiated product. Squeaky Clean
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

C) The current prices of most of Squeaky Clean's products are lower than the prices of competing brands.

Explanation:

If Squeaky laundry detergent is cheaper than its competition, then it should have certain room for increasing its price. They should be careful not to increase Squeaky's price above the competition since probably a significant part of their sales is due to its lower price. As long as Squeaky's price is still lower than its competition, its demand shouldn't be affected.
