What u do is make a problem that = 12 then put y lets say 1 x 12 = 12 just put y as the 12 so it looks like this 1 x 12 = y  same thing with x =16  hope i helped

(16,12)... (8,6) is one, (32,24) is another, and finally (24,27). Ordered Pairs come in the form (x,y)

Your friend says the solution to 6x + 19x - 3 = 5(5x + 6) is x = 33. Solve 6x + 19x-3 = 5(5x + 6). What was your friend's likely
mr_godi [17]

Answer: Forgot to divide at the end

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure out your friend's error, solve the equation yourself.

  1. Distribute the 5 to get 25x+30
  2. Combine like terms in the first equation toget 25x-3=25x+30
  3. Add 3 to the other side.

When we do this, we realize adding 3 would make it 33. This shows that the friend likely forgot to divide by 25 to completely isolate x, and stopped at that step.

What is the 1oth term of this sequence <br> 0.75,1.5,3,6,12
aleksandr82 [10.1K]
Seems to be a geometric sequence which is found by
a_{n}=a_{1}(r)^{n-1}

an=nth term
a1=first term
r=common ratio

first term is 0.75
it doubles each time so common ratio is 2

a_{n}=0.75(2)^{n-1}
to find the nth term, input n and evaluate
example
to find the 20th term
a_{50}=0.75(2)^{20-1}
a_{50}=0.75(2)^{19}
a_{50}=0.75(1048576)
a_{50}=786432

just to find the kth term, input k for n in
a_{n}=a_{1}(r)^{n-1}

Write an equation of the line passing through the point (2,8) that is perpendicular to the line 2x-3y=7
labwork [276]

Answer:

y = (-3/2x) + (35/4)

Step-by-step explanation:

So the perpendicular line will have a slope that is the opposite reciprocal of the other line's slope. Solve for the original line's slope first:

2x - 3y = 7 --> -3y = -2x + 7 --> y = (2x/3) - (7/3)

So, the slope of the perpendicular line will be (-3/2x)

Solve for the y-intercept of the perpendicular like by using the linear equation and substituting in (2,8):

8 = (-3/(2*2)) + b --> (32/4) = -(3/4) + b --> b = (35/4)

So, y = (-3/2x) + (35/4)

Hope that helps! :D

Roll a dice if the dice shows 6 tick the box marked yes.
maksim [4K]
That is a strangely worded question... but I think you're asking how many people said they got a 6 but did not.

So, a dice that has 6 sides has a 1/6 chance of Landing on a 6. so 1/6 of 360 should be that 60 people got a 6. Therefore 119-60 = 59.

The proportion is 59/360 that lied
