Answer:

$1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

At grocery store A, 5 cans of baked beans cost $3.45.

At grocery store C, 4 cans of baked beans cost $2.46.

To find:

How much money would you save if you bought 20 cans of beans at grocery store C that if you brought 20 baked beans from grocery store A ?

Solution:

At grocery store A, cost of 5 cans of baked beans = $3.45

At grocery store A, cost of 1 cans of baked beans = \frac{3.45}{5}

At grocery store A, cost of 20 cans of baked beans = \frac{3.45}{5} \times20=\frac{69}{5}  = 13.8

At grocery store C, cost of 4 cans of baked beans =  $2.46.

At grocery store C, cost of 1 cans of baked beans = \frac{2.46}{4}

At grocery store C, cost of 20 cans of baked beans = \frac{2.46}{4} \times20 = \frac{49.2}{4} = 12.3

Saving will be $13.8 - $12.3 = $1.5

Therefore,  you will save $1.5  if you bought 20 cans of beans at grocery store C that if you brought 20 baked beans from grocery store A.

3+2k= -4(k+4)<br> i need help
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

k = -19/6

This picture should help you out.

First you distribute -4 among everything in the parenthesis. You will get -4k - 16.

Next you subtract 3 from -16, to get -19.

After that you add 4k to 2k, to get rid of -4k, and you get 6k.

So 6k = -19, and finally you divide 6 on both sides of the equal sign to get k = -19/6.

Hope this helped :)
