Vitamins that deficiencies cause canker sores are Iron, folic acid, zinc, and vitamin B12 . In addition deficiencies of calcium can also cause canker sores, but more than causing them, calcium deficiency can worsen the situation.

Canker sores occur in the mouth and are easily identifiable but not serious. There are other cause of canker sores like hormonal changes , food allergies, drugs, physical trauma and stress.
