After the president comes the vice president is in charge for executing all the powers of the president. Succession plan means making new leaders stand in the position of the old leader in case the old leader dies, retires or leaves due to any reason.

The new leader can execute all the powers of the old leader. In the succession plan of the president, the vice president takes the position and in case if both are not present to take the position, then it is occupied by the congress.
