Answer:

Today you can walk into your local grocery store and fill your shopping cart with a variety of fresh produce. Then, with no more effort than it takes to push your cart, you can head to the cereal aisle to pick out your favorite boxes of breakfast cereal before ending your shopping trip in the bread aisle, where you grab a couple of loaves of bread for your lunchtime sandwiches.  What you probably don't realize is that these conveniences that you experience today, could not be a reality if it were not for the Agricultural Revolution that took place hundreds of years ago. In this lesson, we will take a look at how advancements in farming techniques and equipment that happened during the Agricultural Revolution changed our lives, and how they have impacted our environment. The development of agriculture is responsible for the shift from a nomadic lifestyle to one of settlements that later became urban environments. As well, this development has had a significant effect on human society. As agriculture changed from the natural environment, such as picking wild berries, to that of tilled fields and pastures, growing crops became a selective process. Farming procedures allowed for a greater variety of crops that were healthier and more diverse.

What was the purpose of the one-day bus boycott in Montgomery?
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

One of the one-day bus boycotts in Montgomery was to protest Rosa Parks's arrest and segregation in general

<u>Explanation:</u>

Rosa Parks' arrest started the Bus Boycott, during which the dark residents of Montgomery wouldn't ride the city's transports in a fight over the transport framework's arrangement of racial isolation. It was the primary mass-activity of the cutting edge social liberties period and filled in as a motivation to other social equality activists the country over.

Jim Crow transport laws in Montgomery at the hour of Parks' capture set up a segment for whites at the front of the transport, and a part for blacks in the back.

How do modern Democrats and Republicans view taxation?
Anna [14]

Answer:

The Democratic Party believes in cutting taxes for the middle and lower classes and raising them for the upper class. Democratic views on taxes also include the belief that an overhaul to the tax code and system are necessary. They vehemently oppose tax cuts such as those made by George W. Bush that provide relief to the wealthy in addition to the middle and lower classes, stating that the United States needs “a tax code that rewards work and creates wealth for more people, not a tax code that hoards wealth for those who already have it. With the middle class under assault like never before, we simply cannot afford the massive Bush tax cuts for the very wealthiest.” Democrats believe that, seeing as the 1990s were a prosperous time for America, tax code should be brought back to its state during this era.

Republican views on taxes include the belief that tax reduction is important, but must be done the right way. The party believes that budget surpluses have caused Americans to be overtaxed-a condition that is not only threatening their financial prosperity, but is also hindering (and possibly even reversing) growth to the country’s economy. They also want to limit the top marginal rate, believing it punishes those who have worked hard and invested well. Republicans also wish to make the Research and Development tax credit permanent. These three tax reforms combined, Republicans believe, will encourage and promote entrepreneurship. They also believe in encouraging saving and investments by implementing a tax credit for investments. However, despite their support for lowering taxes, Republicans do believe that tax cuts or tax incentives without any balancing spending cuts are detrimental to the economy.
