Muslim doctors started the first pharmacy school.

Answer: True.

During the medieval Islamic period, madrassas were schools found annexed in the bimaristan or hospitals for the ill. Within the madrassas or medical schools, physicians taught students through observation about medical procedures or treatment for the ill. These teachings were recorded by the students and learned to put in practice. They also studied medical treatises and theory.

Furthermore, a physician known for his achievements in pharmacy was Shapur ibn Sahl, who wrote a book about antidotes, a key element in the further development of Islamic medicine.

How did the treaty of versailles differ from the fourteen points?
ss7ja [257]
Treaty of Versailles:
- Called for harsh punishment of Germany
- Called for Germany's demilitarization
- Called for Germany to lose it's colonies

Fourteen Points:
- Called for military to reduce size
- Called for alliances to be made known to the public
- Called for leniency on Germany
- Called for free trade among the nations

The most important difference is that the Fourteen Points called for leniency on Germany, while the Treaty of Versailles called for more harsh punishments on Germany.

In John Smith's First Vision (the Mormon scripture in the Pearl of Great Price version) what references to the time period of th
aliya0001 [1]
This is the only verse I can find that relates to this question:

45 He commenced, and again related the very same things which he had done at his first visit, without the least variation; which having done, he informed me of great judgments which were coming upon the earth, with great desolations by famine, sword, and pestilence; and that these grievous judgments would come on the earth in this generation. Having related these things, he again ascended as he had done before.

What we can gather from this is that the time period this will happen in will start with a Disease/Famine unlike anything the earth has yet seen and a war that is uncomparable to any other. With current medical and other sources we can gather that this could possibly begin in the 22nd or 23rd Century due to the rise of "Super Bugs" that are resistant to medicine. Again the answer to this is completely hypothetical and there is technically not one, we can only use the information given to us to make assumptions.

37 For behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly shall burn as stubble; for they that come shall burn them, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

This also just proof of what will happen. Possibly hinting at a nuclear war. My bet is the time period between the 22nd and 23rd century.

Look up information on Ash Wednesday, Lent, and Carnival. Write a paragraph on each, telling how these special times are related
boyakko [2]

Answer:The Lenten fast is a Christian fast (for Catholics) which lasts for 40 days. Other Christian denominations also join in. The Lenten fast is not practised on Sunday and usually comes to an end on the Holy Saturday. The Holy Saturday is the day before Easter Sunday.

Ash is very important during the Day of Ashes which is usually a Wednesday. It is used to symbolise death and repentance.

It is a Christian holy day of prayer and fasting. The Shrove Tuesday comes before the Ash Wednesday and usually takes place on the first day of Lent, the six weeks of repentance or remorse before Easter. Ash Wednesday is traditionally observed by Western Christians and many other Christian the world.

Way before the lent, the Carnival usually holds. It is a festive period which holds in February or March. During the Carnival, people wear colorful masks and attires and hold a parade.

Cheers!
