Over the first five years of owning her car, Gina drove about 12,100 miles the first year, 15,758 miles the second year, 12,200

the third year, 11,800 the fourth year, and 12,750 the fifth year. A) Find the mean, median, and mode of this data. B) Explain which measure of central tendency will best predict how many miles Gina will drive in the sixth year.

To find the mean, add up all of the miles and divide by the number of years.  12100 + 15758 + 12200 + 11800 + 12750 = 64608.   64608/5 = 12921.9.  The mean (the average) is 12,921.9 miles.

To find the median, put the numbers in order and find the middle number.  The middle number is 12200.  The median (middle number) is 12,200 miles

To find the mode, you would look for the number that is repeated the most.  In this data set, no number repeats, so there is no mode.  There is no mode for this data set.

The mean (average) would be the best measure of central tendency to predict how many miles Gina will drive in the sixth year.

I hope this helps! Can I have Brainliest, please? :)

The construction that you can use to prove the Pythagorean Theorem based on similarity of triangles is 2nd construction. Please see the attached file.

To add, in mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem, also known as Pythagoras's theorem, is a fundamental relation in Euclidean geometry among the three sides of a right triangle. It mentions that the sum of the squares of the other two sides is equal to the square of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle).

A sign is in the shape of a rhombus with a 60° angle and sides of 12 cm long. Find its area to the nearest tenth. Select one: a.
murzikaleks [220]
The area of a rhombus can be computed from its side (s) and angle (θ) by
.. A = s^2*sin(θ)
For your numbers, this is
.. A = (12 cm)^2*sin(60°) ≈ 124.7 cm^2

Solve for all of the missing angles in the rhombus below, given that m∠3 = 54°. (Round to the nearest tenth as needed.)
Marat540 [252]

The measure of angles 1, 2, 4, and 5 are 54 degrees, 90 degrees, 36 degrees, and angle 36 degrees.

<h3>What is a rhombus?</h3>

A rhombus is a two-dimensional shape having four parallel opposite pairs of straight, equal sides. This shape resembles a diamond and is what you'd find on a deck of cards to represent the diamond suit. Rhombuses can be encountered in a variety of common situations.

We have shown the rhombus in the picture.

As we know the diagonals bisect at a 90-degree angle.

So angle 2 = 90 degree

angle 1 = angle 3

angle 1 = 54 degrees

angle 1 + angle 2 + angle 5 = 180

54 + 90 + angle 5 = 180

angle 5 = 36 degrees

angle 5 = angle 4 = 36 degrees

Thus, the measure of angles 1, 2, 4, and 5 are 54 degrees, 90 degrees, 36 degrees, and angle 36 degrees.

For what values of q are the two vectors A = i + j + kq each other and B-iq-23 + 2kg perpendicular to
Sloan [31]

Answer:

The value of q are 0.781,-1.281.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Two vectors A=i+j+kq and B=iq-2j+2kq are perpendicular to each other.

To find : The value of q ?

Solution :

When two vectors are perpendicular to each other then their dot product is zero.

i.e. \vec{A}\cdot \vec{B}=0

Two vectors A=i+j+kq and B=iq-2j+2kq

(i+j+kq)\cdot (iq-2j+2kq)=0

(1)(q)+(1)(-2)+(q)(2q)=0

q-2+2q^2=0

2q^2+q-2=0

2q^2+q-2=0

Using quadratic formula,

q=\frac{-1\pm\sqrt{1^2-4(2)(-2)}}{2(2)}

q=\frac{-1\pm\sqrt{17}}{4}

q=\frac{-1+\sqrt{17}}{4},\frac{-1-\sqrt{17}}{4}

q=0.781,-1.281

Therefore, The value of q are 0.781,-1.281.
