What type of punctuation should not typically be used in any kind of formal or professional writing
Gala2k [10]
Certain types of punctuation that should not typically be used in formal or professional writing are the following..
Too many dashes or hyphens,( they tend to confuse the reader)
Too many commas, ( they make your writing choppy and confusing)
Unnecessary quotes,( they especially are not food when you pick one that is not pertaining to the topic)
Also, Ampersands( also known as symbols,or emoji's, except in writing, very un-professional, as well as confusing for the reader). Hope this helped! Have a good day!

Which sentence best demonstrates the use of an emdtional appeal in the adapted excerpt from John F. Kennedy's "Inaugural Address
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

"Americans born in this country, changed by ...has always been committed..."

Explanation:

The reason why this is a use of an emotional appeal is that it focuses on the pride that Americans have and the strong connection they have to their country. Another appeal to emotion would be, "...we are the heirs of that first revolution." a sense of strong American pride is shown here as well because of the emotional appeal of perseverance against the odds to fight for what you believe in.

What does the difference in dialect and standard English used by the characters in "trifles" indicate to the audience?
stiks02 [169]
The dialect makes it easier for the audience to picture out the setting of the story. The dialect makes the setting more descriptive and makes the story more vivid and easier to understand. The author also uses symbolism to tell the lessons of Trifles.
