There is some evidence suggesting that you are likely to improve your test score if you rethink and change answers on a multiple

-choice exam (Johnston, 1975). To examine this phenomenon, a teacher gave the same final exam to two sections of a psychology course. The students in one section were told to turn in their exams immediately after finishing, without changing any of their answers. In the other section, students were encouraged to reconsider each question and to change answers whenever they felt it was appropriate. Before the final exam, the teacher had matched 9 students in the first section with 9 students in the second section based on their midterm grades. For example, a student in the no-change section with an 89 on the midterm exam was matched with student in the change section who also had an 89 on the midterm. The difference between the two final exam grades for each matched pair was computed and the data showed that the students who were allowed to change answers scoring higher by an average of MD = 7 points with SS = 288.
a) Do the data indicate a significant difference between the two conditions? Use a two-tailed test with \alpha = .05

b) Construct a 95% confidence interval to estimate the size of the population mean difference.

c) Write a sentence demonstrating how the results of the hypothesis test and the confidence interval would appear in a research report

Nimisha wants to draw a wheel like the one shown. Each shaded part of the wheel should be one-third of each unshaded part. What
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

Each shade has a 22.5 degree angle from the middle

Each unshaded has a 67.5 degree angle from the middle.

Step-by-step explanation:

You can solve this by making each unshaded part equal to x and each shaded part equal 1/3x it is a circle so it has to equal 360 so you end up with:

x + 1/3x + x + 1/3x + x + 1/3x + x + 1/3x = 360

Combine Like terms:

16/3x = 360

Multiply both sides by the opposite:

(3/16) (16/3x) = (360) (3/16)

x=135/2 or x=67.5

Then you can plug 67.5 in for x:

1/3x ---> 1/3(67.5) = 22.5

The table shows a linear relationship between x and y
irga5000 [103]

We have been given a table that shows a linear relationship between x and y. We are asked to find the rate of change change of y with respect to x.

To solve our given problem, we will find the slope of the line passing through the given points.

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Let us find slope of line using points (-20,96) and (-2,15).

m=\frac{15-96}{-2-(-20)}

m=\frac{-81}{-2+20}

m=\frac{-81}{18}

m=-4.5

Therefore, the rate of change of y with respect to x is -4.5.

What are the steps to solving <br> 3x=4+2(3−x).
masya89 [10]

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

How to find "x"

3x = 4 + 2(3 - x) *Remove the parentheses*

3x = 4 + 6 - 2x *Calculate*

3x = 10 - 2x *Move the variable to the left*

3x + 2x = 10 *Collect the terms*

5x = 10 *Divide both sides*

x = 2

I hope the helped!!!
