After the Allied Powers manages to take control of Tunisia in May 1943, they used this country as a staging point for their campaigns in the Mediterranean. This included the invasion of Sicily in July of that same year. The attack was motivated by the recent fall of the Fascist Regime of Benito Mussolini, who was an ally of the Nazi Regime.

How did the Freedmen's Bureau help the South after the Civil War?
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

Despite it's official title it's main purpose was to help the more than four million former slaves, most with any resources or education populating the South after the war. Congress created the Freedman's Bureau, with a life span of just one year, to distribute clothing, food, and fuel to destitute freedmen and to oversee "all subjects relating to their condition" in the South.

Why is it useful for historians to craft historical narratives
REY [17]
Historians need to make a picture of history so people can understand what happened. They use fossils and artifacts to make a picture of what that period of time was like. They interpret objects, and read scripts from that time to trust understand what was going on. This way, people can understand and learn from the past. We do not have to make history repeat itself.
