Should the U.S have tighter regulations on genetically modified foods?

English

Answer:

Explanation:

The vast majority of scientific research has found genetically engineered foods to be generally safe. An Italian scientist’s review of 10 years of research, published in 2013, concluded that the scientific research conducted so far has not detected “any significant hazard directly connected with the use of GM crops.” The Center for Science in the Public Interest, a well-known critic of food companies and artificial and unhealthy ingredients in foods, has not opposed genetically modified foods, on the basis that there’s no evidence they are harmful.

Your question is incomplete because you have not provided the answer options, which are:

Poole is conflicted about barring Utterson from the house.

Utterson is conflicted about his attitude toward Jekyll.

Jekyll is conflicted about isolating himself from society.

Utterson is conflicted about bothering Poole repeatedly.

Answer:

Utterson is conflicted about his attitude toward Jekyll.

Explanation:

In Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," Utterson has ambiguous feelings regarding his friend Jekyll. On the one hand, he thinks sympathetically and thoughfully of Jekyll. On the other hand, after seeing the harmful change Jekyll has caused in his friend Lanyon, Utterson cannot help but feel uneasy and hesistant about him. In fact, deep in his heart he prefers not to be allowed to see Jekyll at his house.

Hi! I believe that this is supposed to be a Grammar Correction quiz.

Here are my answers.

1 - If you want to study with me, I will be free during study hall or tutorial.

2 - To study and do your homework more efficiently, you should have a desk with pencils, pens, a dictionary, a thesaurus, a ruler, a calculator, and a computer.

3 - To select a shirt for your new skirt, try to match the colors, not patterns.

4 - The baseball team is going to run several miles at each practice so they can run the bases quickly, smoothly, and competitively.

I hope that helps! Good luck!

I'd say Compassionate.

While it is clear and straightforward, I don't think the author was being forceful. Nothing was being forced onto anyone. Reassuring? Partly, but the purpose is not to reassure; the author is providing a claim and stance on a controversial issue. The tone is not disappointed, either.

Compassionate would be the best answer. The author is using emotional and thiecal appeals, or pathos and ethos.
