The concept of the unconscious has undergone a re haul but is not discarded.

Explanation:

Unconscious as concept was one of the foundation ones in modern psychology and it is one that has stood the test of time mostly through its approach to the inexplicable behaviors of the mind.

In the time of dual processing there has been a rethinking in terms of what it represents and its ambit has been widened.

Dual processing is a principle that any information can be simultaneously processed on the conscious and the unconscious level at the same time. This is an improvement upon the classical theory.
