Answer:

The human capital can be defined as a productivity factor which depends on quality, education, grade of the people involved in a production process.

So, in this case, two ways to boost your personal human capital must be related to things that makes you more productive.

One way is getting more education, this represents a personal growth and development because it will make you more specialized, more professional and also more productive.

Another way is getting more experience, there's no doubt that experience is key to be productive, because productivity is not only about quantity, but it's about quality, you can produce a lot, however, if you don't offer quality results, your "high" productivity is worthless.

Therefore, two ways to boost your personal human capital is education and experience.

Activity pool cost      Overheads    Activity               Rate

Setup cost                     $6,550           665                9.85

Engineering cost          $16,000        1,120                14.29

maintenance cost        $91,450        4,353               21.01

Activity pool cost          Rate             Driver         Overhead cost

Setup cost                       9.85              320              3,152

Engineering cost             14.29             630             9,002.7

maintenance cost            21.01              2,178           45,759.78

Total Overheads cost                                               57,914.48

Number of units                                                               1,730

Overhead cost per unit                                                $33.48

Therefore for computing the overhead cost per unit we simply divide the total overhead cost by number of units.

= $0.3 million.

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Advertising campaign cost = $5.5 million

                                                  Mini Mochi     Other Products   Total

                                                      Much

Incremental sales revenue        $8.2 million      1.8 million        $10 million

Incremental cost of goods sold   5.2 million      1.4 million           6.6 million

Incremental gross profit            $3.0 million      0.4 million          3.4 million

Advertising cost                                                                              3.1 million

ipn [44]

Answer - A (7 years)

WORKINGS

To calculate how long it would take for the new refrigerator to pay for itself in lower utility costs, the cost of new refrigerator will be divided by lower utility cost per year

Cost of new refrigerator = $598

TO CALCULATE LOWER UTILITY COST PER YEAR

At a cost of only 12 cents per day

Annual cost will be 12 X 365 = 4380 Cents ($43.8)

Cost saved annually = Cost of old refrigerator – Cost of new refrigerator.

Lower utility cost per year = $132 – $43.8

Lower utility cost per year = $88.2

How long would it take for the new refrigerator to pay for itself in lower utility costs?

$598 ÷ $88.2

= 6.78 years

Approximately 7 years
