Since 15%=0.15 by moving the decimal 2 places to the right, 15% of 1300 can be found by multiplying 1300 by 0.15, resulting in 195 as 15%. Since we have to subtract 15% from our answer (15% is not our final answer), 1300-195=1105 as our answer

Answer:

SA of black base: 84 cm^2

SA of blue faces: 84 cm^2

SA of gold faces: 60.2 cm^2

SA of 1 ornament: 228.2 cm^2

SA of 100 ornaments: 22,820 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

SA of black base:

A = lw

A = 7(12)

A = 84 cm^2

SA of blue faces:

A = bh

(don't divide by 2 since there are 2 triangles)

A = 12(7)

A = 84 cm^2

SA of gold faces:

A = 7(8.6)

(don't divide by 2 since there are 2 triangles)

A = 60.2 cm^2

SA of 1 ornament:

Add #s in bold:

84 + 84 + 60.2 = 228.2 cm^2

SA of 100 ornaments:

Multiply SA of 1 ornament by 100:

228.2(100) = 22,820 cm^2

a cylinder has a volume of 500cm³ and a diameter of 18cm. which of the following is the closest to the height of the cylinder
iragen [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of Cylinder =

500 {cm}^{3}  = \pi {r}^{2} h

given d = 18

r = 1/2 x d = 9cm,

\pi( {9}^{2} )h = 500 \\ 81\pi \: h = 500 \\ h =  \frac{500}{81\pi} cm

I will leave the answer in terms of Pi as I am not sure how you want to leave your answer as.
