Answer:

96

Step-by-step explanation:

Two ways to do it.  You can find the area of each shape then add it.  Or just use the area of a trapezoid formula.

So, this is two shapes, a rectangle and triangle.  Area for a rectangle is base times height, and area of a triangle is 1/2 times base times height.

Square: b*h = 8*10= 80

Triangle: 1/2*4*8 = 16

Total Area: 80+16 = 96

Area of a trapezoid is the two bases added together then divided by 2 and then you take that number and multiply it by the height.  One base is 10 and the other is 14 so that's (10+14)/2*8 = 96

Peyton borrowed some money from her friend in order to help buy a new video game system and agreed to pay the friend back a cons
netineya [11]

Answer:

y=200-25x

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the problem, the initial condition is $200. If he owed $100 after 4 weeks, that means he paid $25 per week, so that would be the constant ratio. Therefore, the expression would be:

y=200-25x

Where y represents the amount owed, and x represents weeks.

So, in the 4 week, that is, x=4 he owed:

y=200-25(4)=200-100=100

As you can observe, the relation we found first perfectly to the problem. So, the final expression that model this problem is

y=200-25x

Solve for y -2(x + 3 y) =18
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

y= -3y - 1/3x

Step-by-step explanation:

-2(x + 3y) = 18 Distribute the -2 to the x + 3y

-2x - 6y = 18

+2x          +2x    Add the 2x to both sides

-6y = 18 + 2x   Divide both sides by -6

y= -3y - 1/3x
