Answer:

(1) 25.5 meters square

(2) 1.5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

(1) Tucker painted 2/3 of his deck before lunch so he has 1/3 of the deck to paint after lunch.(1 - 2/3). So you do 1/3 of of the deck (76 1/2 meters square) to paint. 1/3 x 76 1/2 is 25 1/2 meters square. 25 1/2 is 25.5.

(2) This is like the last problem just with different numbers. She has 3/5 of 2 1/2 hours left. So you times 3/5 by 2 1/2. You get 1 1/12 which is 1.5.

You are dealt one card from 52 card deck. Find the possibility that you are dealt a heart or a picture card
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

11/26

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have 13 heart card then

p(heart) = 13/52

Since we have 12 picture card then

p(picture) = 12/52

Since we have 3 heart and picture (at the same time) card then

p(heart∩picture) = 3/52

finally,

the possibility that you are dealt a heart or a picture card = p(heart or picture)

p(heart or picture) = 13/52 + 12/52 - 3/52 = 22/52
