The poem " Verses upon the Burning of our House" was written by Anne Bradstreet on July 10,1666. The scheme of this poem is "aa bb cc." After the narrator gets over the initial shock of grief, her thoughts are turned to God. The thanks God for taking only the things that were never hers and leaving her with everything she needed: her family and God's promise of Heaven. The narrator also became wistful and remembered her enjoyment of each piece of furniture and each place in the house.
Contrast: The work in today's art is a lot more advanced. Prehistoric people were simple and didn't use the major fundamentals of art. They're work is really abstract and really only consisted of warm colors and black.
Compare: Like some of today's artists, some of the prehistoric painting tell stories, or describe ones feelings.
