The atmosphere plays a vital role in moderating the amount of electromagnetic radiation necessary to sustain life on earth because atmosphere creates a blanket on overall earth to restrict the incoming harmful rays or electromagnetic radiation.

Explanation:

Atmosphere has five important layers. Each of which plays a significant role in shaping earth's environment. Atmospheric layers are troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, ionosphere and exosphere. Stratosphere prevents harmful UV rays from reaching to the earth's surface.

Ozone layer prevents harmful rays from entering into earth environment. Because in the presence of these harmful gases global life will become miserable. Global warming, acid rain are some of the incidents caused due to these harmful gases.

Robert Merton called for a style of sociology that avoids extremes: it focuses on institutions, not tiny groups and not whole so
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

Mid-range theory.

Explanation:

As the exercise explains, what Robert Merton developed as Middle-range theory is a style of sociology that avoids extremes: it focuses on institutions, not tiny groups and not whole societies, and it holds theory and empirical observation in balance. The way this is applied is, overall, to start with an empirical phenomenon which is then abstracted to create general statements to be verified, or not, by data. As it was mentioned before, it avoides extremes: it won't study small groups or whole societies, it will focus it's attention on institutions.

Absolute thresholds seem to differ across species. For example, humans are much better at detecting visual stimuli than moles. H
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

Well, I'd say because of bipedalism (standing and walking up-right).

Explanation:

Favoring vision among our other four senses is seen as a consequence of how human evolution has developed so far. Thanks to bipedalism we could free our hands from the ground, then, we started using tools better; we gained a way of saving energy when commuting for long distances; and we allowed our selves to have a wider field of vision, which helped us in many ways, but especially in preventing attacks from predators.

This last evolutionary feature is what originated our nowadays-very-accute vision.
