Answer:

Florida had 25 electoral votes, and it would determine the winner of the presidency.

Explanation:

With a ratio of 260 electoral votes to 246 in favor of A. Gore, all the leading television channels announced George W. Bush’s victory in Florida - the state that provided the Republican candidate with 25 electoral votes in the national standings and ultimately a common victory.

However, the joy of Bush’s adherents was premature. Less than two hours later, it turned out that the advantage that the republican leader received in the key state was minimal, and this, according to the laws of the state of Florida, requires a recount. Instead of winning, the candidate found himself in a stalemate. During the month, numerous recounts and court hearings took place until the election results were officially announced.

This was the fourth time in US history when a winner scored fewer votes than a loser.

Why were the results of the revolutionary war so important to the development of american democracy?
Sonja [21]
The results were so important for one main reason: the Revolutionary War freed the Americans from British rule. This meant that they had develop their own government system, and after having just rebelled against totalitarian rule in the form of King George III of England, the Americans set up a democracy so that the government of America could be held accountable by the people.

Which statement presents Hitler’s view of the path Germany should take?
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

C. Germany must break the humiliating terms of the Treaty of Versailles.

Explanation:

Hitler and most Germans at the time felt they were not responsible for the first world war. The debt they owed crippled their economy and starved their children. They saw it as an act that was placed on them to purposely do so. This is why the people of Germany were more than happy for Hitler to take over. He promised a way out of the treaty.

Varvara68 [4.7K]
It's 1787 and there are many people coming up to this picnic, I'm deeply quiet because I am one of very few people who know this secret.... I have heard we are having this picnic to support the new government today! Which to me is bright and harmful to hear. But I shall not spill this huge secret to anyone but myself. So, I sit here in this wooden chair feasting with a bunch of neighbors. Daring not to spill one of the most important secrets ever!
