Let

x------> the sum of a set of data with 100 observations

Mn------> the means of the new data set

we know that

\frac{x}{100}=267\\  \\ x=267*100\\ x=26,700

Mn=\frac{(x-6*688)}{(100-6) }\\ \\ Mn=\frac{(26,700-4,128)}{(94) }\\ \\ Mn=240.13

therefore

the answer is the option C

the mean of the new data set is 240.1

X*94 +688*6  = 267*100
94x+4128=26700
94X=22572    /94
X=240.128

How do I factor trinomials of a form ax^2+bx+c when a=1 <br><br> In one paragraph
vitfil [10]

Answer:

  • Trinomials in the form x^2+bx+c can often be factored as the product of two binomials.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that a polynomial with three terms is said to be a trinomial.

Considering the trinomial of a form

ax^2+bx+c

As

a = 1

so

x^2+bx+c

  • Trinomials in the form x^2+bx+c can often be factored as the product of two binomials.

For example,

x^2+7x+10

=\left(x^2+2x\right)+\left(5x+10\right)

=x\left(x+2\right)+5\left(x+2\right)

\mathrm{Factor\:out\:common\:term\:}x+2

=\left(x+2\right)\left(x+5\right)

Therefore, Trinomials in the form x^2+bx+c can often be factored as the product of two binomials.

Trapezoid ABCD has an area of 525 cm squared. If height AB = 21 cm and BC = 37 cm, what is the measure of AD?
Annette [7]

Answer:

AD = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezoid ABCD

=  \frac{1}{2} (AB + AD) \times AB \\  \\  525=  \frac{1}{2} (37+ AD) \times21\\  \\  525 \times 2=  (37+ AD) \times21 \\  \\ 1050 = 21 \times 37 + 21AD \\  \\ 1050  = 777+ 21AD \\  \\  21AD  = 1050 - 777 \\  \\ 21AD  = 273 \\  \\ AD  =  \frac{273}{21}  \\  \\ AD  = 13

Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

x = 1.2...

Step-by-step explanation:

Start with the given equation and isolate the variable.

6.2x + 1.2 = 8.9

Subtract 1.2 from each side:

6.2x = 7.7

Divide each side by 6.2:

x = 1.2...

Complete the solution of the equation. Find the<br> value of y when x equals -14.<br> -2x + 5y = 8
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

y = -4

Step-by-step explanation:

-2x + 5y = 8

Let x=-14

-2(-14) +5y = 8

28 +5y = 8

Subtract 28 from each side

28-28 +5y = 8-28

5y = -20

Divide by 5

5y/5 = -20/5

y = -4
