Answer: IT infrastructure includes the whole set of hardware, software, data centers which are required by an organization to help develop, maintain and manage its IT services.

Business intelligence(BI) plays a pivotal role in determining the which technology or how IT infrastructure can be used to help increase sales and its marketing strategies so that more and more of its products and services reach out to the people.

Explanation:

All the network servers, computer systems, data centers, and all other micro programmed peripherals within an organization constitute the IT infrastructure.

The more advance the It infrastructure the better is its BI, which includes better forecasting of sales, promotional activities, better planning and risk analysis. Using the IT infrastructure an organization can have better hold over its data which it can analyse and compare with its past reports. Based on which it can think of better strategies to help overcome losses.

Austin has a report due at school tomorrow, but has not started working on it yet. Now he is worried about getting a bad grade.
liq [111]

Answer:

Explanation:

Question One

He could have read other sites with other points of view and summarized that. Most importantly he could have used footnotes that gave credit to every idea that he used.

He could have put the material down and begin to write. The words would have come out in his awkward style. He would still need to footnote the ideas. That is most important.

Question Two

It is both. Plagiarism is a serious crime if it involves many people being affected by what he wrote.

But it is totally unethical at any level. Trying to pass off something that isn't yours is totally unethical. It should never be done. It shames the subject which is shown to be unimportant and it shames the instructor (he knew enough to catch the plagiarism), and it shames the person getting caught.

Which of the following does Moore's law predict?
Korolek [52]

Answer:

Hi!

The correct answer is the a.

Explanation:

The Moore's law is an a empirical law that Gordon Moore predicted doing some observations about how the density of the transistors on a integrated circuit was increasing over time.

For example, this law state that if you have an integrated circuit with: 1000 transistors in 1980 then in 1981 and six months later you will have the same integrated circuit with 2000 transistors, and so on..

  • Jan 1980: 1000 transistors.
  • Jul 1981: 2000 transistors.
  • Jan 1983: 4000 transistors.
  • Jul 1984: 8000 transistors.

And that's the reason because its cost will fall too.

Byte pair encoding is a data encoding technique. The encoding algorithm looks for pairs of characters that appear in the string
erica [24]

Answer:

C. Byte pair encoding is an example of a lossless transformation because an encoded string can be restored to its original version.

Explanation:

Byte pair encoding is a form of encoding in which the most common pairs of consecutive bytes of data are replaced by a single byte which does not occur within the set of data.

For example, if we has a string ZZaaAb, it can be encoded if the pairs of string ZZ are replaced by X and the second pair by Y. So, our data now becomes XYAb.

To get our original data, that is decode it, we just replace the data with the keys X = ZZ and Y = aa thus allowing our original data to be restored.

Since our original string is restored without loss of data, it implies that <u>byte pair encoding is an example of a lossless transformation because an encoded string can be restored to its original version.</u>

For the following questions, consider a paged memory system that has a physical main memory size of 32KB (215) and a page frame
dlinn [17]

Complete Question

For the following questions, consider a paged memory system that has a physical main memory size of 32KB (215) and a page frame size of 8KB (213). Consider a process P whose logical address space is 64KB (216). Important Note: If an answer requires an exponent, use the ^ character. For example: 216 would be entered as 2^16.

Question 1: How many physical page frames are there in the above paged memory system? ________(Your answer should be in exponential form)

How many bits are needed to represent a physical page frame number in the system? ____________

Question 2: How many logical pages are there for P? _____________(Your answer should be in exponential form. )

How many bits are needed to represent a logical page number for P? _____________

Answer:

1a) The number of physical page frames in the  paged memory system = 2⁵

1b) The number of bits that can be used to represent the physical page frame = 5 bits

2a) Number of logical pages = 2³

2b) Number of logical frame bits = 3 bits

Explanation:

Size of physical main memory = 32 kB = 2¹⁵

Space for Logical address = 64 KB = 2¹⁶

Page frame size = 8 KB = 2¹³

1a) The number of physical page frames in the  paged memory system

Number of page frames = physical main memory size / page frame size

 Number of page frames  = 2¹⁵ / 2¹³

Number of page frames = 2⁵

1b)The number of bits that can be used to represent the physical page frame

physical memory size = log2(2²⁰) = 20 bits.

Offset bits = log2(2¹⁵)  = 15 bits

Frame bits = physical memory size – offset bits

Frame bits = 20 – 15

Frame bits = 5 bits

2a)  Number of logical pages = logical address space / page frame size

Number of logical pages = 2¹⁶/2¹³

Number of logical pages = 2³

2b) Logical address space = log2(2¹⁶) = 16 bits

Offset bits = log2(2¹³)

Offset bits = 13 bits

Frame bits = logical address space bits – offset bits

Frame bits   = 16 – 13

Frame bits  = 3 bits
