Jawaharlal Nehru He was a prominent Indian nationalist and politician, standing out in the struggle for the independence of his country from the British Empire. He was leader of the moderate socialist wing of the Indian National Congress, and was also the first person to occupy the post of Prime Minister of India, serving as such since independence, which occurred on August 15, 1947, until his death.
The main goal was to contain communion in Southeast Asia. The US failed to achieve this goal because it wasn't willing to sacrifice as much to win the war as the Vietnamese communists were.
