produced monthly.
a.)What isthe current monthly cost?
b.)Whatwould be the additional cost of the increasing production to 26chairs monthly?
c.)What isthe marginal cost when x=25?
d.)usemarginal cost to estimate the difference in cost between producing25 and 27 chairs per month?

Answer:

Given the cost function of chair produced monthly as

C(x) =0.001x³ + 0.07x² + 19x +700

where x =no of chairs produced

a) Current monthly cost?

For x=25, C = 0.001 (25)³ + 0.07(25)² + 19(25) +700

  C = 15.625+43.75+475+700

  C = $1234.38

b) additional cost of the increasing production to 26 chairs monthly?

   that is C(26) - C(25) = ?

For C(26) = 0.001 (26)³ + 0.07(26)² + 19(26) +700

  C(26) =$1258.89

C(26) - C(25) = $24.52

c) the marginal cost when x=25?

 This is dC/dx = 0.003x² + 0.14x +19

Marginal Cost at x =25,  =  0.003(25)² + 0.14(25) +19

= $24.375/chair

d) To estimate the difference in cost between producing 25 and 27 chairs per month?

we will find dC/dx(27)?

Marginal Cost at x =27,  =  0.003(27)² + 0.14(27) +19

  C(27) = $81.83/chair

For increase in chairs per month = 2,

The difference in cost between C(25) and C(27), = ($81.83 - $24.375) x 2 =$114.91

e)  To predict C(27) = ?

From (d) to predict this, it means for a single chair, we have the cost as $57.454/chair

so for 27 chairs, the cost will be $57.454 x 27 = $1551.26/month

x and y varies directly and the equation will be: y=480.x

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to write the equation to represent the relationship between x and y

We can find if x and y varies directly or indirectly.

Checking if x and y varies directly

if x and y varies directly then y=kx or y/x = k then k is constant

if x=2 and y=960 then k is:

k=y/x= 960/2 = 480

if x=2 and y=960 then k is:

k=y/x = 1440/3=480

if x=2 and y=960 then k is:

k=y/x= 2880/6=480

if x=2 and y=960 then k is:

k=y/x=3840/8 = 480

Since y/x = 480 for every value of y and x in the table, so x and y varies directly and the equation will be:

y= kx

y=480.x

Answer:

0.53

Step-by-step explanation:

0.533

Decimal places go 10ths, 100ths, 1000ths, and so on. The nearest hundred therefore, is the first 3. Looking at the next digit, which is 3, because it's less than 4, we know we have to round down, which makes the answer 0.53

An older method of estimating body fat percentage was to measure a person's average density (total mass divided by total volume)
timofeeve [1]

If the density of the man is 1.0321 grams per cubic cm. Then the body fat percentage will be 28.59%.

<h3>What is a function?</h3>

The function is an expression, rule, or law that defines the relationship between one variable to another variable. Functions are ubiquitous in mathematics and are essential for formulating physical relationships.

An older method of estimating body fat percentage was to measure a person's average density (total mass divided by total volume) and apply a formula to convert it to a body fat percentage.

\rm BF = \left (\dfrac{4.57}{p} - 4.142 \right) \times 100

where BF = body fat and p = density in g/cm3 A man weighs 175 pounds.

A man weighs 175 pounds.

His total body volume is modeled by a cylinder with a height of 170 cm and a radius of 12 cm.

Then the density will be

\rm p = \dfrac{175 \times 453.592}{\pi \times 12^2 \times 170}\\\\p = \dfrac{79378.7}{76906.19}\\\\p= 1.0321 \ g/cm^3

Then the Body fat percentage will be

\rm BF = \left (\dfrac{4.57}{1.0321} - 4.142 \right) \times 100 \\\\\\BF = 0.2859 \times 100\\\\\\BF = 28.59\%
