<span>The fact that many scientists have concluded that we humans have descended from apes has been surprising and disturbing to me. Disregarding the religious arguments of this subject, I can't help but wonder why are there still apes if we all came from them. How did some apes evolve into humans and other apes remained apes. I wouldn't say this was unsettling to me but it has certainly surprised and challenged me.</span>
