A = bh
A = (22)(18)
A = 396 m²

A = ¹/₂h(b₁ + b₂)
A = ¹/₂(8)(16 + 12)
A = ¹/₂(8)(28)
A = ¹/₂(224)
A = 112 cm²

   P = 2l + 2w
20 = 2l + 2(4)
20 = 2l + 8
- 8         - 8
12 = 2l
  2      2
   6 = l

C = 2πr
C = 2(3.14)(8)
C = 2(25.12)
C = 50.24 in

A = πr²
A = (3.14)(3)²
A = (3.14)(9)
A = 28.26 m²

Find equation to the given value of the curve x=t^5+1, y=t^6+t, and t=-1. please help I keep getting y=-1.4x and it is incorrect
irakobra [83]
Well for the function of x we have x=t^5+1 and we know t= -1

So you plug in -1 instead of the t and you will get x=(-1)^5+1
Now just resolve that equation to get the value of x

x = (-1)^5+1 = -1+1 = 0 So x=0

Do the same with y and you’ll get y=2

Write the equation of a line in standard form that passes through (-2, 5) and is perpendicular to
sdas [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x - 2y = 8

Write this in y = mx +b form

- 2y = -x + 8

Divide the equation by (-2)

\dfrac{-2y}{-2}=\dfrac{-x}{-2}+\dfrac{8}{-2}\\\\\\y =\dfrac{1}{2}x-4

Slope = 1/2

The slope of the perpendicular line = -1/m

                                                           =\dfrac{-1}{\dfrac{1}{2}}=1*\dfrac{-2}{1} = -2

m = -2 , ( -2 , 5)

Equation: y = mx +b

Plug in m = -2 ,x = -2 and y =5

5 = (-2)*(-2) + b

5 = 4 + b

5 - 4 = b

b = 1

Equation of the line:

y = mx +b

y = -2x + 1

A sphere and a cylinder have the same radius and height. The volume of the cylinder is 64m. What is the volume of the sphere
Drupady [299]
Check the picture below.

\bf \textit{volume of a cylinder}\\\\
V=\pi r^2 h~~
\begin{cases}
h=2r\\
V=64
\end{cases}\implies 64=\pi r^2(2r)\implies 64=3\pi r^3\implies \boxed{\cfrac{64}{3\pi }=r^3}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\
\textit{volume of a sphere}\\\\
V=\cfrac{4\pi r^3}{3}\qquad \qquad \implies V=\cfrac{4\pi \left( \boxed{\frac{64}{3\pi }} \right)}{3}\implies V=\cfrac{256}{9}
