Well for one the British kept taxing the colonists. The tea tax really upset the colonists, because it put a tax on tea,paper etc. That is why the Boston Tea Party happened. The colonists decided to dress up as indians and throw a lot of the British tea into the harbor. Another act that the colonists hated was the quartering act,
