Answer:

Advantages of Local Area Network as opposed to the Wild Area Network:

The major advantage of LAN is speed.

With LANs you see technology ready for 1Gbps (1 gigabit per second)

For example: If you were to download thousands of English articles off of Wikipedia it would take just over 13 hours to do so, where as a WAN would take 16 days to do for the same.

A LAN can operate up to 30x faster then a WAN.

Another advantage of LANs is the cost.

As it requires less hassle and less advanced infrastructures to keep it running. It’s just require some simple things to set it up such as : Ethernet cables, a network switch, and you are good to go.

WAN connections are harder to set up , we need to rent a line from Internet Service provider and using their network and connecting their point A and B.

"The principle of ______________ states that programs tend to access data and instructions nearby recently used data and instruc
maria [59]

Answer:

Locality of reference.

Explanation:

In computing, The principle of locality of reference is the probability of a processor to repeatedly access the same set of memory locations within a small time interval. This reference of locality can be spatially based (repetitive usage of data within the same location on the computer memory), or temporally based (repetitive usage of a particular data or resources within a shot time interval). The ability of some computing system to perform this action increases their predictability, and efficiency of memory hierarchy use, among other abilities.
