Sydney taking books out of the box, it takes 20 minutes for Micah to fill the box.
Which of the following can be used to determine the amount of time it takes for Sydney to empty the box if Micah is not adding books?

a. 1 over 15 minus 1 over 20 equals 1 over x
b. 1 over 20 minus 1 over x equals 1 over 15
c. 1 over 15 minus 1 over x equals 1 over 20

Micah's velocity = 1 box / 15 minutes = 1/15 box/minute

Sidney's velocity = 1/x

Micah's velocity - Sidney's velocity = 1 box / 20 minutes = 1/20 box/mitue

1/15 - 1/x = 1/20

1/x = 1/15 - 1/20

Answer: option a. 1/15 - 1/20 = 1/x

x = 2 => y = 3/2 = 1.5

x = 3 => y = 3/3 = 1

x = 4 => y = 3/4 = 0.75

b,

y = 3/x passes (0.5, 6) => A is correct

Select the correct answer. Consider the following system of equations. Use this graph of the system to approximate its solution.
vesna_86 [32]

The approximate solution to the given system of equations, considering the graph, is given as follows:

D. \left(-\frac{13}{4}, \frac{5}{2}\right).

<h3>What is a system of equations?</h3>

A system of equations is when two or more variables are related, and equations are built to find the values of each variable.

On a graph, the solution of a system of equations is given by the intersection between the curves. In this graph, the intersection of the two curves happen close to x = -3.25, y = 2.5, hence the solution is approximated by:

D. \left(-\frac{13}{4}, \frac{5}{2}\right)
