Explanation;

-Scientists believe that a large gas cloud in space was condensed into what we now call the sun. Chunks of this cloud flew into orbit around the sun and eventually condensed into planets.

-According to the Nebular hypothesis, 4.6 billion years ago the Solar System formed from the gravitational collapse of a giant molecular cloud. This initial cloud was likely several light-years across and probably birthed several stars.

Answer:

The nuclear reaction rate is very sensitive to temperature so that even a slight increase in temperature makes the nuclear reactions occur at a MUCH higher rate. This means that a star's luminosity increases a lot if the temperature is higher.
