Mid Atlantic ridge

Explanation:

Alternating parallel bands of normal and reversed magnetic polarity are found in the basaltic bedrock on either side of the mid Atlantic ridge. The mid Atlantic is a divergent margin where two plate pulls apart from each other.

  • At the Atlantic ridge, basalt materials from deeper levels of the crust/asthenosphere rises to the surface.
  • On either side of the margin the magma cools and solidifies to form new crust.
  • Basaltic magma contains some metallic minerals that can easily be magnetized to the nature of their domains.
  • These minerals will align in form of band according to the prevailing condition of the magnetic field at the time of their formation.
  • This eventually shows magnetic polarity on either side of each plates.

Human abo blood groups are determined by a single gene with 3 alleles: a, b, and o. in a sample of 300 individuals, 100 are bloo
KengaRu [80]
Allele frequency is determined by looking at the dominant and recessive allele of a genotype.
Using the given, we can come up with the following computation for the allele frequency:
allele A = 100/300 allele B = 50/300 allele O = 150/300
Hence, the frequency of allele A is 0.33 or 33%, allele B is .17 or 17% and allele O is 0.50 or 50%.
