Answer:

v= - 27 m/s

Explanation:

Given that

s= t³-  9 t²-27       ( Correct from sources)

As we know that velocity given as

v=\dfrac{ds}{dt}

v=3 t ² - 18 t               ------------1

As we know that acceleration given as

a=\dfrac{dv}{dt}

v=\dfrac{d^2s}{dt^2}

v=3 t ² - 18 t

a=6 t  -18

Given that acceleration is zero (a= 0 )

0 = 6 t  - 18

t=  3 sec

Now by putting the values in the equation 1

v=3 t ² - 18 t  m/s

v=3 x 3 ² - 18 x 3 m/s

v= 27 - 54  m/s

v= - 27 m/s

A beam of light strikes a sheet of glass at an angle of 57.0°. with the normal in air. You observe that red light makes an angle
Lena [83]

Answer:

a) Red: 1.34

Violet: 1.40

b) Red: 2.23\times10^8\frac{m}{s}

Violet: 2.14\times10^8\frac{m}{s}

Explanation:

a) We should use Snell's law to find the index of refraction:

n_{1}sin\theta_{i}=n_{2}sin\theta_{t}

with n1 the index of refraction of air, n2 the index of refraction of the glass, θi the angle of the incident ray respects the normal an θt the angle between the refracted ray an the normal. It's common to approximate n1=1

solving n2 for red light:

\frac{sin\theta_{i}}{sin\theta_{t}}=n_{2}

n_2=\frac{sin57.0}{sin38.1}= 1.34

solving n2 for violet light:

\frac{sin\theta_{i}}{sin\theta_{t}}=n_{2}

n_2=\frac{sin57.0}{sin36.7}= 1.40

b) Index of refraction on a medium is defined as the ratio between the velocity of electromagnetic waves on vacuum (velocity of light c) and the velocity in medium (v):

n_2=\frac{c}{v}

solving v for red:

v=\frac{c}{n_2}=\frac{3\times10^8}{1.34}=2.23\times10^8\frac{m}{s}

solving v for violet

v=\frac{c}{n_2}=\frac{3\times10^8}{1.40}=2.14\times10^8\frac{m}{s}

when a man travel from hilly region to terai region what will happen to his weight ? explain with reason.
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

His weight increases.

Explanation:

  • The weight of the body is the gravitational force acting on the body at that location.
  • The gravitational force is defined as the product of mass  of the body and the acceleration due to gravity.

                                           W = m x g

  • The acceleration due to gravity of earth is high at the surface and decreases with respect to the height from the surface.
  • Hence, a man in the higher altitude regions experience lower weight that in the the lower altitude  regions.

How does increasing the<br> speed of an object change its<br> momentum?
aleksley [76]

Answer:

When you increase speed, you add energy and increase momentum as it would require more energy to change, stop or reverse the object's direction of travel than before the speed increase. Increasing the speed increases the momentum proportionally.

Which scientist was the first to use the telescope in astronomy
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

Galileo Galilei

Explanation:

although Galileo was not the scientist who invented the telescope, he was the first to use it to observe celestial objects. he used the telescope in 1609. his discovery included more accurate information about the moon, the sun and some of the planets.
