Answer:

Primary reasons a company would decide to expand internationally are as follows:

  • Expanding markets and increasing sales are one of the primary reasons.
  • Companies get globalized in order to become a market leader.
  • The company may choose to enter into international market in order to diversify a company's product line.
  • Markets and investments would be protected by companies once they enter into international market and get engaged in an international business.
  • Controlling the expenses is again one of the most important reasons. Company would buy the resources to gain cost advantage.
  • For example, the company which is located in Canada gets most of their resources from China; the company would look forward to get situated near China.
  • Another reason would be, to get protected from their competitors or to gain advantage over them; the company would decide to expand internationally.

The three motivational factors that induce a company to go global are as follows:

  • Economies of Scale — The advantage that a company gain through mass production to achieve the lowest possible production cost per unit.
  • Economies of scope — The advantage that a firm gains by producing different varieties of products and services and at different regions.
  • Low-Cost Production Factors — It is an opportunity to purchase the resources at the lower possible cost.

Jaguar Land Rover decided to manufacture cars outside the UK for the first time. In recent years, it has rapidly expanded in its home UK and the company is planning to go to Brazil and implement the strategies that they had implemented in India.

Jaguar Land Rover moves to other countries to gain the opportunity of producing at a lower price and to gain economies of scale.

What is the difference between the federal budget deficit and federal government debt?
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

C) The federal budget deficit is the year-to-year short fall in tax revenues relative to government spending (T < G + TR), financed through government bonds. The federal government debt is the accumulation of all past deficits.

Explanation:

Budget Deficit by definition is the shortfall in the budget as spending exceeds the budgeted tax revenues for the governments. They are indeed funded by government borrowing by issuing of bonds and borrowing money from the federal reserve.

The federal government debt or also called the national debt is the net accumulation of all the borrowed amount that is used by the government to deficit finance the budget in the current year and the previous years.

In return if a budget in a year turns surplus, that is the spending is less than revenue, it can help lower the national debt if the government policies allow.

Hope that helps.

Maya, who lives in California, just purchased her first home at a Trustee’s foreclosure sale. She was given a deed at the sale.
nevsk [136]

Answer:  Trustee's Deed

Explanation: A trust deed in immovable property in the Americas refers to a legal instrument used to develop a significant stake in the immovable property under which legal title in capital assets is diverted to a trustee holding that as security for such a loan between a creditor and perhaps a lender.

From the perspective of the investor, a document of trust has a vital benefit as compared to a mortgage. If a borrower fails to pay on the loan, on part of the lender, the trustee has the right to repossess the land. Thus, from the above we can conclude that Maya would have been given a trustee's deed.

During 2017 sales on account were $866000 and collections on account were $522000. Also during 2017 the company wrote off $42500
Komok [63]

Answer:

There is a change of $27,500 (decrease)

Explanation:

Cash realizable value is the amount of money that the company expects to receive from their accounts receivable after deducting all uncollectible accounts.

First, we must compute the change in gross accounts receivable from the transactions happened during the year.

Sales on account less collections less write-offs = change in Gross accounts receivable.

$866,000 - ($522,000 + $42,500) = $301,500 (increase in gross accounts receivable)

Finally, we can now compute the change in cash realization value by deducting uncollectible accounts to gross accounts receivable.

$301,500 - $329,000 = ($27,500)
