Many South Africans had to live in make-shift shelters such as tents after war. This was due to the scorched earth policy that the British used against Boer commandos that led to the weakening of their resolve. Prior to this, families were also rounded up and placed in camps guarded by the British which demoralized the Boers.

Explain the process of precipitation, evaporation, and condensation within the water cycle
andre [41]

evaporation is when a mass of water is hit by sunlight and some of it turns to a vapor. In the atmosphere, that vapor cools and the water molecules fuse with other water molecules, forming clouds. (condensation) When the clouds become full, the water precipitates onto land or into the ocean in the form of rain, sleet, snow or hail (precipitation).

A CT air mass is

hot and wet
cold and dry
hot and dry
cold and wet
Arturiano [62]

The correct answer is - hot and dry.

The CT air masses are air masses that originate from deep inside the land masses in the tropical regions of the Earth. The ''C'' actually stands for continental, thus indicating the formation of the air mass over a land mass, while the ''T'' stands for tropical, thus indicating the tropical region of where the land mass over which this air mass forms.

Because these air masses form over land in the tropics, they are hot and dry. The hot and dry characteristics come from the bigger heating of the land masses, as well as the lack of water vapor over the land masses.
