It saw the overthrow of the dictator Diaz Mori. <em>The revolution began in 1910 and was caused by the dissatisfaction of the Mexican populace with the denial of their basic rights, forcing many into poverty and servitude.</em>
Diaz was more about building foreign ties with other countries and the US and wasted no time in signing away lands to foreigners and wealthy Mexicans. Also no Mexican was allowed to own a land unless they held a title.
