The correct answer is:

A. Aqueducts

The Romans used science and mathematics to build aqueducts to make it easier to access water and improve sanitation. The Romans constructed aqueducts throughout their Republic and later Empire, to bring water from outside sources into cities and towns. Aqueduct water supplied public baths, latrines, fountains, and private households; it also supported mining operations, milling, farms, and gardens.

<span>In September 1957 the school board in Little rock, Arkansas, won a court order to admit nine African American students to Central High a school with 2,000 white students. The governor ordered troops from Arkansas National Guard to prevent them from entering the school. The next day as the National Guard troops surrounded the school, an angry white mob joined the troops to protest the integration plan and to intimidate the AA students trying to register. The mob violence pushed Eisenhower's patience to the breaking point. He immediately ordered the US Army to send troops to Little Rock to protect and escort them for the full school year.

Describe the effort of Radical and moderate Republicans to grant additional rights to African Americans
Anuta_ua [19.1K]
If we are talking about the reconstruction period, the Radical republicans wanted to ensure an absolute right to vote to all African-Americans, as well as giving them land and education as a mandatory thing. Moderate ones didn't want to agitate the southerners too much so they didn't want to give them land, and when it comes to education, it was open to them but was not mandatory for African-Americans to go to school.
