A good body, (good muscular strength and endurance) makes everything better overall because it creates a healthy, well coordinated, and agile mind. Getting and Keeping a healthy body also takes a bit of commitment and ambition which would benefit any sports player over time.

If your sport is golf, increasing your strength will allow you to drive the ball further and thereby decreasing the number of strokes required to get you to the hole. Since golf requires walking the 18 hole course and continuously striking the ball, increasing your endurance will allow you to do it with less fatigue thereby increasing your consistency in your game.
