HELP ME PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How was the Virginia House of Burgesses important to the development of democracy in the 13 Coloni
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:  It was the first representative assembly in the colonies.

Explanation:

The House of Burgesses in Virginia was a representative assembly in Virginia that modelled the British system and was meant to introduce laws for the colony. It had representatives from the colony's 11 settlements and as such was the first of its kind in the colonies.

Other colonies were able to base their representative assemblies on this model thus leading to more democracy in the colonies thereby paving the way for the democratic government that would take over after independence from the British.

What caused the United States to break its neutrality and enter World War I?
morpeh [17]
What ultimately brought the US out of its neutrality was when the Germans wanted to stop supplies from getting to Great Britain from the US. So, they sunk the supply ships which also had hundreds of Americans on board which the Germans killed altogether (triggering their anger and causing them to join the war).

Civilian control of the military is an important component of Republican government. Civilian control means that military leaders are subordinate to political leaders. The Commander in Chief of the military is the President, a political leader. He is responsible for making the final decisions regarding whether or not the military should engage in conflict. This is a safeguard in a democratic society and prevents the military from using its power to assert political control. The disadvantages are few to none. This system of subordination has worked well in the United States. The President also has the right to suspend habeas corpus and broad powers to ensure law and order in the case of an emergency,
