Two animals that can be found at the Grand Canyon include the Abert’s and Kaibab squirrels. The Abert’s squirrel is found at the

south rim of the canyon and in a few surrounding states. The Kaibab squirrel, however, can only be found at the canyon’s north rim, mainly on the Kaibab Plateau. The Kaibab squirrel is not found anywhere else in the world. Scientists believe that the squirrels are actually closely related and have developed separately as a result of geographic isolation. It is possible that the squirrels were separated by plateau erosion that separated the forests and isolated the Kaibab population. Some scientists are studying if the squirrels are now two separate species or if the Kaibab squirrel is simply a subspecies of the Abert’s squirrel. Separate species are unable to reproduce with each other. Which evidence would be used to support the claim that the squirrels are two separate species?

Explain why chemogenetic based methods of regulating cellular signaling result in poor temporal control of biochemical pathways
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

They use different detecting methods to assess neuronal circuits

Explanation:

Chemogenetics is a technique widely used in neuroscience research to explore signaling interactions by means of genetically modified receptors capable of interacting with small molecules. Chemogenetics was first used to determine the function of the chalcone isomerase gene by inducing mutations that altered its substrate specificity. On the other hand, optogenetics is a bioluminescence-driven genetic technique used to control genetically modified neurons that express light-gated ion channel genes. This technique is also used to monitor neuronal networks. In consequence, optogenetic and chemogenetic techniques have recently been combined in order to analyze neuronal circuits, it by analyzing the same actuator molecule.

in humans, advanced aging mimics many symptoms of mitochondrial dysfunction. This provides support for:
Savatey [412]

The mitochondrial dysfunction has emerged as one of the key hallmarks aging process and is linked to the development of numerous age-related pathologies including metabolic syndrome, neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases and cancer.

<h3>Mitochondrial dysfunction </h3>

Chronic (long-term), hereditary, and frequently inherited ailments known as mitochondrial illnesses take place when mitochondria are unable to create enough energy for the body to function normally. When a condition is inherited, it indicates that parents have passed it on to their offspring. In addition to developing at any age, mitochondrial illnesses can be present at birth.

Affected organs by mitochondrial illnesses include the brain, nerves, muscles, kidneys, heart, liver, eyes, ears, and pancreas. They can also affect the cells of the kidneys. When the mitochondria don't perform as well as they should as a result of another illness or condition, mitochondrial dysfunction arises.
