Sphere A has radius 6 inches and sphere B has diameter 14 inches. Find the ratio of the surface area of A to the surface area of
Mkey [24]

Answer:

the ratio of the surface area of A to the surface area of B is 36 ÷ 49

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the ratio of the surface area of A to the surface area of B is shown below;

= Surface area of the sphere a ÷ surface area of the sphere b

= 4πr^2 ÷ 4πr^2

= 6^2 ÷ 14 ÷ 2^2

= 36 ÷ 49

hence, the ratio of the surface area of A to the surface area of B is 36 ÷ 49

Can anybody explain this to me?
Soloha48 [4]
One would have to believe since there is only 3 angles, it is a triangle which has a total of 180 degrees.  They give us the degrees for all the angles, we just have to add them up and solve for x.

180° = ∠A + ∠B + ∠C
180° = 65° + (3X-10)° + 2X°        Drop the parentheses
180° = 65 + 3x - 10 + 2x              Combine like terms
180° = 55 + 5x                              subtract 55 from both sides
125° = 5x                                      divide both sides by 5
25° = x                                substitute this value for x into the ∠'s

∠A = 65°
∠B = 3x - 10
      = 3(25) - 10
      =  65°
∠C = 2x
     = 2(25)
       = 50°

Zina [86]
Just find the points on the graph and it will create a line. For (-2,1) on the graph go left two time and up one. For (4,-2) go right four times and down two times. Then connect the dots. Hope this helps!
