Mid point is found by summation of x
Then divide by 2
And same for y

Since mid point for x is 8
So x+(-9) /2 = 8
X - 9 = 16
X=16+9
X= 25

Answer:

<h3>the value of x is 25.</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

Givens

  • The midpoint is between (x,6) and (-9,14).
  • The midpoint is at (8,10).

Now, the formula of a midpoint is

M=(\frac{x_{1} +x_{2} }{2} ,\frac{y_{1}+y_{2}  }{2} )

Where M=(8,10)

This means that

\frac{x_{1} +x_{2} }{2}=8\\ \frac{y_{1} +y_{2} }{2}=10

Replacing each horizontal coordinate and solving for x

\frac{x +(-9) }{2}=8\\x-9=16\\x=16+9\\x=25

Therefore, the value of x is 25.

Answer:

Range is 18.

Step-by-step explanation:

Range can be calculated by subtracting the smallest value of the data set from the largest value of the data set.

The values are:

13, 17, 18, 15, 12, 21, 10, 6, 8, 11, 3

Largest Value in this data set:  21

Smallest Value in this data set: 3

Range = Largest Value - Smallest Value

Range = 21 - 3

Range = 18
