Answer: A.24 350 000, B. 67.83% , C. 4920 000 ,  D. 20.21%

Explanation:

A. Labor force is total number of people employed (full time or part time) plus total number of unemployed people who have been actively looking for employment in the last 4 weeks

Total Labor force =  employed + unemployed

Total Labor force = 4 900 000 + 14 530 000 + 3 200 000 + 1 720 000

Total Labor force = 24 350 000

B. Labor Participation Rate = Labor Force/ civilian non-institutionalized working-age population

Labor Participation Rate = 24 350 000/35 900 000 = 0.6782729805

Labor Participation Rate = 67.83%

C.  People are classified as Unemployed  if they have been actively looking for employment in the last 4 weeks

    Number of unemployed people = 3 200 000 + 1 720 000

    Number of unemployed people = 4920 000

D.  Unemployment rate = Unemployed people/labour force

     Unemployment rate = 4920 000/24 350 000 = 0.202053380

     Unemployment rate = 20.21%

9) Given the following information, compute the total number of units for the period: Direct labor hours 12,000 Direct labor cos
pochemuha

Answer:

C) 640 units

Explanation:

Given that

Total manufacturing cost = $132,600

Per unit material cost = $75

Fixed overhead cost = $36,000

Variable overhead cost = 50% of total labor cost

The computation of total number of units is given below:-

Variable overhead cost

= 12,000 × $2.70 × 50%

= $16,200

Direct labor cost

= 12,000 × $2.70

= $32,400

Total Direct material cost = Total manufacturing cost - Variable overhead cost - Fixed overhead cost - Direct labor cost

= $132,600 - $16,200 - $36,000 - $32,400

= $48,000

Total number of units = Total Direct material cost ÷ Direct materials cost

= $48,000 ÷ $75

= 640 units

BE9.5 (LO 3), AP For Gundy Company, units to be produced are 5,000 in quarter 1 and 7,000 in quarter 2. It takes 1.6 hours to ma
azamat

Answer:

The correct answer for quarter 1 is $120,000, for quarter 2 is $168,000 and for 6 months is $288,000.

Explanation:

According to the scenario, computation of the given data are as follows:

Direct labor cost for Quarter 1 = Total Required Direct Labor Hours × Direct Labor Wage

Where, Total Required Direct Labor Hours = 5,000 × 1.6 hours = 8,000 hours

So, Direct labor budget for Quarter 1 = 8,000 × $15 = $120,000

Direct labor budget for Quarter 2 = Total Required Direct Labor Hours × Direct Labor Wage

Where, Total Required Direct Labor Hours = 7,000 × 1.6 hours = 11,200 hours

So, Direct labor budget for Quarter 2 = 11,200 × $15 = $168,000

So, Direct labor budget for 6 months = Direct labor budget for Quarter 1 + Direct labor budget for Quarter 2

= $120,000 + $168,000

= $288,000.

svetlana [45]

Answer: Difference = $185,948.5 - $147,285. = $38,663.5

Explanation:

To calculate the future value,  you have to use the formula

fv = PA (1 + r/100)ⁿ

where

FV = future value

PA = Present Amount

r = rate

n = number of years

calculating for the future value if you earn a percent of 7.5 =

fv = 5,000 (1 + 0.075) ⁵⁰

fv = 5,000 ( 1.075)⁵⁰

fv = 5,000 (37.1897)

fv = 185,948.5

calculating the Fv when the rate is 7%

fv = 5,000 (1 + 0.070) ⁵⁰

fv = 5,000 ( 1.070)⁵⁰

fv = 5,000 (29.4570)

fv = 147,285

Then find the difference between the Fv when the rate is 7.5 and when the rate is 7

Therefore difference = $185,948.5 - $147,285. = $38,663.5
