The perimeter of a square is 32. What is the area of the square?

To find the area of the square, take the length times the width, or two of the sides multiplied together.  Since the perimeter is 32, the length of each side would be 32/4, because there are four sides in a square.
32/4=8, so each side is 8.

Since the area of a square is the length of the side time the length of a side, the area is 64, because 8 times 8 is 64
Hope this helps!! Can I get Brainliest?  It would mean a lot!

Annie needs $30 to buy a coat she has saved $12 and plans to work as a baby siter to earn $6 per hour which inequality shows the
tekilochka [14]

Answer:

The answer would be B. 12 + 6n is greater than or equal to 30, so n is less than or equal to 3.

explanation:

I'm bad with explaining things, but I'll try my best to explain why this is the right answer.

12 + 6n ≥ 30, so n ≤ 3

let's start with the 12 at the beginning of the inequality, Annie already has $12, so the 12 in the inequality shows the amount of money she already has being added to the $6 per hour of babysitting she needs to do (n).

Now for the + 6n, the plus is there to show that the $12 Annie already has is being added to the 6n. The 6n then represents the $6 Annie makes each hour and the n represents how many hours she needs to babysit in order to get $30. The 6 is being multiplied by the amount of hours she needs to babysit to show how much money Annie would make. Then you add on the $12 she already has.

Annie then needs at least $30, but if she makes more than $30 then she will simply have more money than needed, therefore you use the greater than or equal to sign to show that she can have more money than just $30 after working.

I hope this helps, and sorry if my explanation is hard to understand lol.

Riley is saving up to buy a new television. She needs a total of $1,049.77. Riley has saved $200.79 already and earns $77.18 per
Xelga [282]

11 weeks are required for Riley to work to save enough money to buy the new television

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that Riley needs a total of $1,049.77

Riley has saved $200.79 already and earns $77.18 per week at her job

To find: Number of weeks Riley need to work to save enough money to buy the new television

Remaining amount needed = $1,049.77 -  $200.79

Remaining amount needed = $ 848.98

Let "n" be the number of weeks Riley need to work to save enough money to buy the new television

Also she earns $77.18 per week at her job

1 week ⇒ $ 77.18

"n" weeks ⇒ $ 848.98

Therefore, by cross multiplication,

n \times 77.18 = 1 \times 848.98\\\\n = \frac{848.98}{77.18}\\\\n = 11

Therefore 11 weeks are required for her to work to save enough money to buy the new television

<h3><u>Method 2:</u></h3>

<em>Total amount = amount already saved + ($77.18 per week at her job)("n" weeks)</em>

1,049.77 = 200.79 + (77.18)(n)

1049.77 - 200.79 = 77.18n

848.98 = 77.18n

n = \frac{848.98}{77.18}

n = 11

Therefore 11 weeks are required for her to work to save enough money to buy the new television

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The work done changes the potential energy

ΔPE = mgΔh = 450(10)(50) = 225,000 = 225 kJ

power is the rate of doing work

P = 225000/5 = 45000 W = 45 kW
