Perpendicular lines have the slopes which product is - 1:
m 1 * m 2 = - 1
First we must transform the first line to the slope-intercept form:
x + 2 y = 4
2 y = - x + 4  /:2
y = - 1/2 x + 2
Therefore: m 1 = - 1/2
( - 1/2 ) * m 2 = - 1
m 2 = ( - 1 ) : ( - 1/2 ) = ( - 1 ) * ( - 2 ) = 2
m = 2 ( this is the slope that we need for our equation )
Then we will charge it to the formula : y = m x + b ( which also passes through the point ( 1. 5 ) ):
5 = 2 * 1 + b
5 = 2 + b
b = 5 - 2
b = 3
Answer:
y = 2 x + 3

Any help someone....<br> (solve triangles using the law of sines)
gogolik [260]

Answer:

B=51°

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the Law of Sines as follows:

\frac{sinC}{c} =\frac{sinB}{b}

Insert the appropriate values:

\frac{sin100}{14} =\frac{sinB}{11}

Isolate B. Multiply both sides by 11:

11*(\frac{sin100}{14} )=11*(\frac{sinB}{11})\\\\\frac{11*sin100}{14} =sinB\\\\sinB=\frac{11*sin100}{14}

Use the inverse:

B=sin^{-1}(\frac{11*sin100}{14})

Insert the equation into a calculator and round to the nearest degree:

B=50.7\\\\B=51

Angle B is 51°.

zaharov [31]

Answer: 1.704 x 10^9

Step-by-step explanation: Move the decimal so there is one non-zero digit to the left of the decimal point. The number of decimal places you move will be the exponent on the

10

. If the decimal is being moved to the right, the exponent will be negative. If the decimal is being moved to the left, the exponent will be positive.

in a right triangle the acute angles measure x+15 and 2x degrees what is the measure of the larger acute angle of the triangle
Akimi4 [234]

<span>So, x+15 + 2x = 90 </span><span>
<span>Therefore 3x = 90 - 15 = 75 </span>
<span>and so x=25. </span>

<span>So the smaller angles are x+15 = 40 degrees and 2x=50 degrees. </span>
<span>So the larger one is 50 degrees.</span></span>
