Transitional phrases are phrases or words that show how ideas, paragraph or sections in a text are connected, in this way the reader can easily know in which way each idea is connected to one another and how multiple ideas construct the main idea in a text. Transitional phrases can show contrast, effect, sections of a whole, among others. Thus, adding transitional during the revision stage, in which the writer read the texts and makes changes, help the writer to connect ideas better and makes the relation between ideas explicit for the reader, which makes the text easier to understand.
