The shadow lengthened by 2.25 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of the lamppost is not needed here.

We can write the ratio as,

5 /4 = x/5

25 = 4x

x = 25/ 4

Now it is not needed to find the length of the new shadow, and so, we need to find the length of the added shadow.

25 / 4 - 16/ 4 = 25 - 16 / 4 = 9/4 = 2.25 ft

Length of the new shadow is 25/ 4 = 6.25 ft

So length of new shadow - length of old shadow = 6.25 - 4 = 2.25 ft shadow lengthened

For the data set 6, 5, 10, 11, 13, the mean, X, is 9. What is the standard
deviation?
Ket [755]

Answer:

standard deviation = 3.0331

Step-by-step explanation:

You can solve for this two different ways.

If you have a TI-84 calculator or something similar, type all the data into list 1. Then click the stat button, then the calc button, then 1-vars stats. This will give you mean, standard deviation, median, mode, etc.

If you are solving by hand, find the different between each data point and the mean. Square these numbers and find the average. Then take the square root of that.

3^2 + 4^2 + 1^2 + 2^2 + 4^2 = 46

46/5 = 9.2

square root of 9.2 = 3.0331

Hope this is helpful!!!!!!!!!!! :)

What is the domain and range of a(w)=1.10w+0
german
The expression represents a straight line equation of the form y=mx+c. where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept. From the given expression,
m=1.10 and c=0
therefore since a(w)=1.10w+0 is a straight line equation, the domain of the equation will be:
(-∞,∞)
and the range will be:
(-∞,∞)
This is because the domain and range of the straight line is always (-∞,∞).
