The United States was losing public support for the Korean war so Truman
and his advisors decided to work for a negotiated peace. MacArthur
disagreed. The general believed that America's future lay in Asia, not
Europe. In an inflammatory letter to the House minority leader,
Republican Joseph J. Martin, he denounced the Korean stalemate,
declaring "There is no substitute for victory". His strategy backfired
and on April 11 Truman relieved MacArthur of his command, accusing him
of insubordination.
The Great Leap Forward, Mao Zedong's plan to increase China's agricultural and industrial production, was an overwhelming success. This is true as far as the great leap forward is concerned during Mao Zedong's administration.
Crozat became the proprietor of the Louisiana colony because he hoped he would find gold and silver in the colony. His motive was to make a profit off of the colony.
In 1760 to 1800 a lot more people got jobs but the conditions were terrible. This was the case but a lot of people wanted to start working because most of them worked on farms and they didn't make money but when they worked at a factory they were getting paid.
