Through :(4,2),parallel to y =-3/4x-5<br> Solve for y
alex41 [277]

Answer:

y = \frac{ - 3}{4} x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The Line equation is:

y = \frac{- 3}{4} x - 5

The line equation is in the form of y = m x + c

Slop of this line is (m1) = \frac{ - 3}{4}

Let another line with slop (m2) , passes through point (4 , 2)

As per question the another line is parallel to the given line equation

So, slop of both the lines are  equal

∴ (m2) = (m1) = \frac{ - 3}{4}

Hence equation of another line with slop \frac{ - 3}{4} and passing through points ( 4 , 2) is

y - y1 = (m2) (y - x1)

I.e  y - 2 = \frac{ - 3}{4} (x - 4)

Or,  4\times (y -2) = (- 3)\times (x - 4)

Or , 4y - 8 =  -3x + 12

Or,   4y     =  -3x + 12 + 8

Or , 4y      =  -3x + 20

∴        y = \frac{ - 3}{4} x + 5

Hence The value of y = \frac{ - 3}{4} x + 5    Answer

If ∠4 = 98°, then ∠3 = ?<br> look at image
Ksju [112]

Step-by-step explanation:

∠4 = ∠1 & ∠2 = ∠3

360 - 2(98) = ∠2 + ∠3

∠3 = 164/2

∠3 = 82°

<h3>Answer:</h3>

2 seconds

<h3>Explanation:</h3>

Equation: g(x) = -16x² + 64x + 80

<u>In order to find the maximum</u>:

vertex : -b/2a

           = -64/2(-16)

           = -64/-32

           = 2

Maximum Height:

= -16(2)² + 64(2) + 80

= 144 ft
